On the shifting sands of the desert a permanent rock must be found to build upon it to be able to stand secure against the winds the rains, the floods and fears of doubt and self reproach that in life will beat against us.

1.-"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".
x
"Poor in spirit" means to be humble. Humility is the realization that all your gifts and blessings come from the grace of God. To have poverty of spirit means to be completely empty and open to the Word of God. When we are an empty cup and devoid of pride, we are humble. Humility brings openness and an inner peace, allowing one to do the will of God. He who humbles himself is able to accept our frail nature, to repent, and to allow the grace of God to lead us to Conversion.

It is pride, the opposite of humility that brings misery. For pride brings anger and the seeking of revenge, especially when one is offended. If every man were humble and poor in spirit, there would be no war!
.
Only by being spiritually ready will one be able to accept the truth, but do not rely upon your judgment to decide who is ready to accept the truth but rely for guidance in the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Voice the truth and leave it and you will be amazed in the results that follow.
x
Ask and it will be given
Seek and you shall find
Knock and it shall be opened unto you

The only way to under the sun by means of which man may obtain harmony, peace of mind and salvation that is the change for the better in his own consciousness.

It is necessary to understand the meaning of the fatherhood of and what it implies before you can obtain some satisfactory religious experience.
x
VOICE THE TRUTH AND LEAVE IT.YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT THE RESULTS YOU WILL GET FOLLOWING A FEW DAYS.
x
Pray and meditate recognize our lives in accordance with Jesus teachings continuously and untiringly until our goal is attained.
x
But beware because wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction.
x
False prophets in sheep’s clothing who claim to cast out devils, speak in tongues take up serpents drink deadly things with impunity, lay their hands on the sick will come in Jesus name but their fruits you will know them.
x
Many people find it possible to break down from Orthodox Church to center in one more liberal church where they seem to go to sleep again. What do they gain by breaking free from one organization to simply surrender to another one? Our spiritual judgment cannot be surrendered to anybody.

2.-"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted".
s
If we are humble and appreciate that all of our gifts and blessings come from God, we grow in love and gratitude for Jesus Christ our Savior. But this can only produce mourning and regret over our own sins and the sins of this world, for we have hurt the one who has been so good to us. One also mourns for the suffering of others.

St. Gregory describes another reason to mourn: the more one ascends in meditation of Divine Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, and then realize the poverty of human nature; man can only be left in sorrow. When one contemplates that we were made in the image and likeness of God and lived in Paradise, the Garden of Eden, and compare that to our present state after the fall, one can only mourn our present condition. But the sentence continues that they shall be comforted, by the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, and hopefully one day in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mourning in this context is called a blessing, because mourning our fallen nature creates in us a desire to improve ourselves and to do what is right!

3.- "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth".
x

St. Gregory of Nyssa taught that the Beatitudes build one upon another. A humble person becomes meek, or becomes gentle and kind, and exhibits a docility of spirit, even in the face of adversity and hardship. A person that is meek is one that exhibits self-control. St. Augustine advises us to be meek in the face of the Lord, and not resist but be obedient to him. Obedience and submission to the will of God are certainly not in vogue these days, but they will bring one peace in this world and in the next.
x
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. This is one of the most important verses in the Bible.
x
First of all let us understand that the word earth in the Bible does not mean merely the terrestrial globe. It really. Means manifestation. Manifestation is the expression of a cause. A cause has to be expressed because we know nothing about it. All causation is mental and our body our affairs, home or business are the manifestation of our mental states.
x
In other words “earth” means the outer experience and to inherit the earth means to have dominion over that experience bringing the conditions that will bring of life harmony and true success (your soul will dwell at peace).
x
Meek is understood as devoid of courage or self respect, no use to himself or anyone else, crawling over the earth like a worm, hypocritical and mean.
x
The true significance of meek in the Bible is a mental attitude. It is a comb inaction of open mildness and faith in God and the realization that the will of God is for us always something joyous and interesting, vital much better that we could think by ourselves. Gods wisdom is better than anything we could have chose for ourselves.
x
If we lack the spiritual perception we are unable to recognize or experience what is around us. We look but we don’t see, we hear but we do not listen. We are like blind men with no sense of smell in beautiful garden.

4.-"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied".
x
A continuous desire for justice and moral perfection will lead one to a fulfillment of that desire - a transition and conversion to holiness. This is true for all the virtues - if you hunger and thirst for temperance, you will head towards the goal you have in mind. St. Augustine, in his discourse on the Lord's Sermon on the Mount, notes the correspondence of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and their necessity in fulfilling the Beatitudes. For example, one must have the gift of fortitude so one may be courageous in seeking justice.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled” - The will of God is always joyous and interesting better than anything we could think.
x
We have dominion over our thoughts to think as we will and thus indirectly we make or mar our lives by the way we do think. While we continue to do foolish and stupid things in our life we will continue to be unhappy and frustrated.
x

This story forms the subject of Burne-Jones's picture "The Merciful Knight", and has been adapted by Shorthouse in "John Inglesant". John Gualbert became a Benedictine at San Miniato, but left that monastery to lead a more perfect life.

5.-"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy".
x
Mercy is the loving disposition towards those who suffer distress. Love, compassion, and forgiveness towards one's neighbor will bring peace in your relationships. We say in the Lord's Prayer: Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. As we are merciful to others, so our Heavenly Father will be merciful with us! Jesus reminds us that whatever "you did to the least of my brethren, you did it to me (Matthew 25:31-46)
x
“Judge not that ye not be judged”, for with what judgment you judge you shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.

x
And why beholdest thy mote that is in your brothers eye but you do not consider the beam that is in your eye. How will you say to your brother let me pull out the mote in your eye and behold there is a beam in your own eye.
x

Thu hypocrite cast first the beam out of your eye and they you will see clearly too able to cast out the one in your brother’s eye.

Matthew VII
x

We are told ,more about the nature of man
x

Whatever conduct we give out we are inevitably going to get it back.
x

1. For every time that you cheat you will be cheated,
x

2. For every time that you deceived you will be deceived.
x

3. For every lie you utter you will be lied to
x

4. for every time you evade duty, evade responsibility or misuse authority you will inevitably will pay with an injury. Such as you have committed. (With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again) We are very prone to think that we can escape Karma,by outrunning it or slip thru it or that we will be forgiven,or that revenge is not feasible that our misdeeds will be forgotten or better all, that they will never be found out.

x

The truth however is that the law of gravity never sleeps,it is never out of duty or off its guard.,it is never compassionate or vindictive or tired out it cannot be evadfed coaxed or bribed.iT is inevitable and implacable.
x

Karma is better understood in Orinetal countries not beause of Buddism or hiduism but because ancient repetitive experience.
x

This are the laws of nature taught not only in Christianity but in Buddhism and Hinduism as well.
x

In doing our duty to others is not a quid pro quo and having done so it is one’s reward.
x

There is no evil that the healing Christ cannot heal what has been written must occur and we will not understand fully until much later of a time passes by.
x

6.-"Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God".
x
Moses (Exodus 33:20), John (1:18), and Paul (1Timothy 6:16) all say that no one can see God here on earth! But Jesus says the pure of heart shall see God! To be pure of heart means to be free of all selfish intentions and self-seeking desires.
x
6. Whatever stands between us and GOD must be eliminated. Whether it is a sin, old grudges , unforgiveness or greed, and perhaps the most difficult ones to forego are self love, selfrighteousness and spiritual pride for they are the most difficult to detect and exercise.
x

As long as you are running away from problems you will continue to meet in a new guise down the road, if you continue to repeat the old conditions in a different form you will finish as dissatisfied as you were. Do not dissolve or amputate the in harmony but let it dissolve away on itself with the treatment.
x

The most important rule to the solution of problems that appear unsolvable except with a miracle is exactly that “The Christ truth of the parties involved”, do not try to amputate the in harmony but let it dissolve under “The spiritual truth of both parties”.
x

To receive the guidance of GOD, the divine wisdom it is essential to have an open mind since the part wisdom is usually not in accord with your own personal feelings and present opinions.
x

Anything that shuts you off the ever fresh energizing action of GOD is spiritual stagnation.
x

The things that you spend time and energy striving for will be felt as no longer worth while having while other things that we passed scarcely at a glance are discovered to be the things that really matter.

x
The desires to get even or to get one’s own backlog level somehow or other when we have suffered injustice or witnessed things that we did not approve will remain with us until we take into our hands to destroy it.
x

Hatred ceases not with hatred.

x
Important also is to understand that turning the other is only illustrative of mental states. It means changing one thought when we are faced with error to the TRUTH (switch your attention from the human to the Divine spirit) and this will act like magic.

x
One most get rid of all sense of resentment and hostility.Change our state of mind until you are conscious of harmony and peace within yourself and have a positive sense of good will towards all.

Napoleon as Mars the Peacemaker is a colossal heroic nude statue by the Italian artist Antonio Canova of Napoleon I of France in the guise of the Roman god Mars. He holds a gilded Nike or Victory standing on a globe in his right hand and a staff in his left. It was produced between 1802 and 1806 and stands 3.45 metres to the raised left hand. Once on display in the Louvre in Paris, it was purchased from Louis XVIII in 1816 by the British government, which granted it to the Duke of Wellington. It is now on display in Robert Adam's Stairwell at the Duke's London residence, Apsley House.

7.-"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God".

Peacemakers not only live peaceful lives but also try to bring peace and friendship to others, and to preserve peace between God and man. St. Gregory of Nyssa calls a peacemaker a man who brings peace to another; but one cannot give another one does not possess oneself.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. “My peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you.

AS long as there is resentment or fear or trouble in your heart you will lack serenity and you will lack peace.

Regarding others” Your peace of mind is directly proportional to your expectations.

Prayer is the only way to change our character every time you become different in some degree.
We cannot think one thing and produce the other, therefore control your thoughts for harmony and happiness and then other things will follow.

Do not dwell upon your mistakes or upon the slowness of your progress but claim the presence of GOD with you.

Forgive and do not disguise it under a cloak of self righteousness, remorse is a form of spiritual pride, kind actions with unkind thoughts are hypocrisy dictated by fear or desire or self glory. Be merciful with others the more deeply they err to help them with the right thoughts so that they may be free. By forgiving only is that you can achieve serenity as long as there is resent or trouble in your heart you cannot achieve tranquility of the soul.

Have faith beware that we lack the spiritual perception; Heaven is the realm of the spirit substance without age, discord or decay a realm of eternal good. We are in the position of a blind man with no sense of smell in a beautiful garden that we cannot see or sense thru smell and yet it all exists .What you see is only but your own concept at that time.

St Lawrence was a Christian martyr of Spanish birth who died in Rome in 258, one of the most venerated saints since the 4th century. He was ordained deacon by Pope Sixtus II and met his death shortly after the pope's own martyrdom. Tradition has it that the pope, when arrested, instructed Lawrence to give away to the poor the church's treasures, consisting of precious vessels and money, for which, as deacon, he was responsible. No sooner had he done so than Lawrence was ordered by the Roman prefect to surrender them to him, whereupon Lawrence, indicating the poor and sick around him, said, 'Here are the treasures of the Church'. For this he was condemned to be roasted on a gridiron, a torture he underwent with equanimity, merely observing, 'See, I am done enough on one side, now turn me over and cook the other'.

8.-"Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".

Jesus said many times that those who follow Him will be persecuted. "If they persecute me, they will persecute you" (John 15:20-21).. The twentieth century with its two World Wars and endless regional conflicts has seen its share of martyrs such as Maximilian Kolbe, Dietrich Bonheoffer, and the Central American martyrs. But the Lord promised those that suffer for his sake will be rewarded with the Kingdom of Heaven!
